The body is an alternate brain — one that receives more precise, specific and unadulterated information than the grey matter brain. The grey matter brain’s tendency is to want to Trump the body (I’m talking Donald), with its carefully coiffed braggadocio.
But it’s the body who has the last laugh, the last sigh, the last breath, the last word that isn’t a word. Even in science fiction, solitary brains in glass jars connected to a source of energy can think thoughts, but cannot dance.
When the mind is able to humble itself enough to accept its proper role as an intermediary between heaven and earth… when it gets off the body’s back, so to speak, it becomes a counterweight to gravity — an enlightenment — that allows the body to dance freely.
