HEArT MELTS ICE
Keep it turned on, keep it turned up
Here’s an image I made recently. I don’t have any big plan for what to do with it; I just felt like making it. I love drawing letters. It feels sensual to me. All drawing feels sensual to me. When I have a pencil or pen in my hand and a piece of paper, my hand and my heart wants to draw.
How strange that the word ‘ICE’ has taken on such a dark meaning. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with frozen water. It can be quite useful, e.g. what good is a gin and tonic without ice?
Yet ice is cold and hard and slippery. We don’t want to fall on it or in it. Solid though it is, ice is impermanent. It’s solidity is an illusion. All it takes is enough heat and it turns to water, soft and yielding.
Heat and Heart. Keep it turned on, keep it turned up.

"All I know is that my mother taught me how to labor, how to labor in love, through love, with love. Because we may be laboring for our whole lives. We may not know the answer. Hope … is not what is animating me anymore. Love is."
~Valarie Kaur
"Our job is to love others without stopping to inquire whether or not they are worthy."
Thomas Merton
Love the "heat" as it applies to the physiological effect of "Love" on the human body. Love the HEArT in your art as well. A minute message as my Father would say!
Thanks for all you do!
like a dehumidifier, let's boil away ICE into mist
